1. Recovery Strategies
The "Recovery Strategies" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Build hope for reaching goals,
- Identify recovery goals, and
- Identify plans to achieve goals.

2. Facts about Mental Illness
The "Facts about Mental Illness" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Build optimism about the future,
- Identify symptoms and reduce blame and stigma regarding mental illness, and
- Learn information about Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia.

3. Stress-Vulnerability
The "Stress-Vulnerability" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Identify the role of stress and biological vulnerability in causing symptoms and impairments,
- Build optimism that treatment and coping strategies work, and
- Learn information about treatment options.

4. Building Social Support
The "Building Social Support" module topic is designed to help consumers identify the benefits of:
- Social support,
- Meeting new people, and
- Getting closer to the people you already know.
|
5. Medication Management
The "Medication Management" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Learn accurate information about medications, including the pros and cons of taking medications,
- Develop a partnership with medical staff, and
- Develop strategies for taking medications.

6. Drug and Alcohol Use
The "Drug and Alcohol Use" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Learn the effects of substance abuse on biological vulnerability,
- Weigh the pros and cons of using drugs and alcohol, and
- Develop an action plan (if the consumer wants to change his/her current use).

7. Relapse Prevention
The "Relapse Prevention" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Identify triggers of past relapses,
- Recognize early warning signs,
- Identify what happens before a relapse begins, and
- Develop a relapse prevention plan.

8. Coping with Stress
The "Coping with Stress" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Identify stressors and strategies for preventing stress,
- Identify and practice strategies for coping with stress that can't be avoided, and
- Practice involvement of significant others.

9. Coping with Problems and Symptoms
The "Coping with Problems and Symptoms" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Learn a step-by-step method for solving problems and achieving goals,
- Identify problem areas (especially persistent symptoms), and
- Select and practice strategies for coping with problems and persistent symptoms.

10. Getting Needs Met in the Mental Health System
The "Getting Needs Met in the Mental Health System" module topic is designed to help consumers:
- Identify services they currently receive,
- Identify services they would like to pursue, and
- Develop and practice skills for advocating for themselves in the mental health system.
