Multicenter Validation Study of CMINDS Computerized ADAS Published in Current Alzheimer's Research.

A validation of a computerized version of the Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale – Cognitive Subscale (ADAS-Cog) was recently published in Current Alzheimer Research, read more>>. The study was conducted in association with leading authorities in the field of Alzheimer disease research.

The computerized ADAS was compared to the standardized, paper-and-pencil version of the ADAS in a sample of 88 adults meeting criteria for mild to moderate Alzheimer disease. Data confirmed equivalence of the computerized version vs., the paper-and-pencil version, indicated by an intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.96.

Overall, the results indicate that examiner-assisted, computerized administration is equivalent to traditional, paper-based administration, as well as significantly greater test-retest reliability.

Release of IMR-Web beta system.

On January 20th, NeuroComp released the IMR-Web beta system for evaluation at the ACT Center of Indiana and other mental health service providers. The beta system will be utilized in IMR sessions throughout many sites across the United States. These studies will take place over the course of several months. This evaluation is aimed primarily at establishing usability and acceptability for both clinical practitioners and clients.

MOVE Phase II Begins.

Phase II of the MOVE.Net project began January 10th, 2010. In Phase II, additional modules for physical activity will be added. Phase II also includes enhanced reporting; capability to individually tailor specific health goals for indiviudal users; and capability to track BMI and pedometer readings throughout the program.

The Alzheimer’s Association International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease (AAICAD) met from July 10 to 15, 2010 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Thousands of researchers from around the world met to discuss information regarding Alzheimer’s disease and other associated cognitive disorders. NeuroComp presented a poster on the cADAS.
